SIAM Concludes Sustainability Week 2026 with 1st International Conference on Automotive Material Compliance & Sustainability

As the grand finale of its four-day Sustainability Week 2026, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) successfully hosted the 1st International Conference on Automotive Material Compliance & Sustainability (AMCS) today at India Habitat Centre. Under the powerful theme “Driving Circularity, Compliance, and Innovation in the Global Automotive Supply Chain”, the conference highlighted the urgency to accelerate India’s transition towards sustainable materials, end-of-life vehicle management and transparent digital supply chains in the presence of global regulators, industry leaders, technology experts and policymakers. Reinforcing SIAM’s commitment to building a responsible, circular and future-ready automotive ecosystem, the Opening and Welcome Session on “India’s Transition towards Sustainable Mobility & Material Compliance” set the tone for the day.

SIAM Hosts 4th International Conference on Sustainable Circularity, Calls for Systemic Shift to Automotive Circular Economy

New Delhi, February 18, 2026: Marking the third day of SIAM Sustainable Mobility Week 2026, The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) today organised the 4th International Conference on Sustainable Circularity at the India Habitat Centre. Held under the theme, “Accelerating India’s Systemic Transition to an Automotive Circular Economy: Policy Leadership, Innovation and Collaborative Action,” the conference highlighted the importance of embedding circular economy principles into India’s automotive growth through strong policy support, innovation and collaborative action across the value chain. SIAM Sustainable Mobility Week 2026 is being held from February 16–19, 2026, which also includes the Sustainable Mobility Zone showcasing next-generation vehicle platforms, advanced safety systems, alternative fuels and enabling infrastructure solutions. The four-day initiative has brought together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, researchers and technology innovators to chart a clear roadmap for sustainable mobility in India.

SIAM Hosts 2nd SAFAR Summit, Calls for Accelerated Action to Reduce Road Fatalities

New Delhi, February 17, 2026: Setting off a thundering call to reduce road fatalities on our roads, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) hosted the 2nd Summit on Automotive Future Advancement in Road Safety (SAFAR) today, with the theme: ‘Drive to Zero: Strengthening Policies, Preparedness, and Partnerships’. As part of SIAM Sustainable Mobility Week 2026, the summit focused on strengthening road safety policies, improving preparedness, fostering partnerships, and enhancing post-crash response systems in line with national and global targets. The four-day initiative, being held from February 16 to 19, serves as a unified platform bringing together stakeholders, visionary policymakers, industry leaders, emergency care experts, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and civil society leaders to discuss key sustainability priorities including decarbonisation, road safety, post-crash care, circularity, material compliance and collaborations.

The four-day programme, being held at India Habitat Centre until February 19, opened with the 4th edition of the International Symposium for Thriving Eco-Energy in Mobility (ISTEM), themed “Partnering for a Sustainable Future: Accelerating India’s Multi-Fuel Mobility Transition.”
