World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th, is an important global event dedicated to environmental preservation, initiated by the United Nations Environment Programme in 1973. India, aligning with its developmental goals, actively participates in these efforts. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has put forth a vision for a developed India by 2047, termed Viksit Bharat. During the Amritkaal period, leading up to 2047, the focus is on fostering a strong, Atmanirbhar, and sustainable industrial ecosystem. To this end, the Indian government has launched detailed strategies on various fronts aimed at reducing pollution, enhancing resource conservation, and expanding the use of renewable energy to achieve a more sustainable future.
