Under the aegis of Govt. of India led by NITI Aayog, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Department of Food & Public Distribution and the collective efforts of Ethanol producers, OMCs, OEMs and other stakeholders of ethanol ecosystem made India to achieve 10% ethanol blending in gasoline five months ahead of schedule. Now all the stakeholders, involving ethanol producers (ISMA) and Oil Marketing Companies (FIPI), are at the cusp of E20 fuel rollout, and the milestone for introduction of E20 material compatible vehicles by OEMs from 01 April 2023 is round the corner.
