Automotive Industry is one of the main pillars of the Indian Economy. It has very strong backward & forward linkages and is a key driver for the country’s growth. The Indian Automotive Industry contributes about 6 per cent to the country’s GDP, around 35 per cent to the Manufacturing GDP, supports over 4 million jobs directly and as many as 27 million more jobs indirectly.
While Upstream revenues are accounted for and captured, a major chunk of revenues in Downstream revenues are limited to the Informal sector. This Conference is a premier attempt to combine Industry Stakeholders and Government representatives at the highest level to create and understand a path to Circular Economy in India and bring a formal element to the same with benefits to all stakeholders.
