Govt of India has mandated a joint Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) - SIAM Ethanol Awareness Campaign for Promotion of Ethanol as Transportation Fuel. India’s ethanol blending programme is being monitored at the highest level of Government and PMO is directly monitoring the progress. The important deadlines, which were decided for pan India implementation of E-20 are 2023 for vehicle to be material compliant and 2025 for vehicles to be fully E-20 compliant.
Recently SIAM commemorated World Biofuels Day on 10th August 2022 by organizing a Seminar titled ‘Promotion of Biofuels: A Pathway for Low Carbon Mobility’ as part of the year-round activities.
