The World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year across the globe since 1974 to express care and support for Mother Earth and its environment. This day provides all of us with an opportunity for awareness creation, informed actions and responsible conduct by individuals, corporates, and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.
This year’s theme for Environment Day is ‘Biodiversity’. The World Environment Day offers a national and global platform for inspiring positive change. It pushes individuals to think about their lifestyle & sustainable consumption; businesses to develop greener models & processes; manufacturers to produce more sustainably; governments to protect wilderness; educators to inspire students to live in harmony with the nature; and youth to become aggressive gatekeepers of a green future. The aforesaid goals require a harmonized effort and support from all of us.
