Society of India Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is organizing an International Conference on IMDS and ELV Regulations’ on 18th March 2019 at Holiday Inn, Aero city, near Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, under the auspices of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India in collaboration with Automobile Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) with Product Compliance Consultancy Services (PCCS) & DXC Technology as knowledge partners. This conference will focus on having structured deliberations with the stakeholders particularly with the OEMs and auto component manufacturers. The Conference is first of its kind focusing on the sustainable material management and environmentally safe disposal of hazardous chemical, heavy metals, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPS) etc. to minimize their adverse impact on the environment and human health. The subject matter attains critical importance since the use of such chemicals in automotive sector might work as technical barriers to trade in future.
