As you are aware that the scheme FAME India under the National Mission for Electric Mobility (NMEM) was launched in 2015 with clear objectives of market creation, technology development and development of supply chain in line with the “Make in India” initiative. The Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises has been driving this initiative right from the inception of the Mission. Various Ministries in the Government are also taking several initiatives to further the efforts.
To support the Government’s mandate of promoting hybrid and electric vehicles, SIAM jointly with ACMA is organizing a 2nd National Workshop on FAME India on July 15, 2016, at The Lalit, New Delhi. The Workshop will provide an apt forum for Policy Makers, OEMs, Tier 1s/ Tier 2s, Associations, Academia, Research Agencies to exchange thoughts on this emerging segment. Speakers of international repute from India, Germany, Netherlands, China, UK etc. have been invited for the event. The event would also showcase component manufacturers' capabilities in the domain of hybrid and electric vehicles through an exhibition alongside the Workshop.
