World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th, is a significant global initiative for environmental conservation, launched by the United Nations Environment Programme in 1973. India actively contributes to this effort in alignment with its developmental objectives. As a key driver of the automobile industry’s transformation, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) stands as the leading national body representing major vehicle and engine manufacturers in India. Under the core vision of "Building the Nation, Responsibly," SIAM is committed to positioning India as a global hub for automobile design and manufacturing while championing sustainable mobility in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.

Under its unwavering commitment to sustainability in mobility and the environment, SIAM is delighted to announce the celebration of World Environment Day (WED) 2025. This special event will be held on 5th June 2025 in New Delhi.
