As you are aware that SIAM had embarked upon a unique Environment Lecture Series at last year’s World Environment Day 2020 for integrating and mainstreaming the environmental imperative for attaining environmental sustainability in automotive sector. SIAM has so far organized 14 lectures under SIAM Lecture series which have been quite successful and well received by all stakeholders. The forthcoming 15^th environment lecture under the series is the next step in engaging SIAM in various public policy initiatives and brings innovative programs to engage with the stakeholders of the automotive industry.  SIAM has created a specific group “Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and Ease of Doing Business”, wherein we are updating the industry members on the upcoming business innovation and practices. As part of this engagement, we wish to bring the 15^th lecture focusing on “Digital Innovation and Smart Manufacturing: Industry 4.0 and Beyond”. 

Industry 4.0 ensures the seamless connection of the physical and digital domains by advanced robotics, industrial internet of things, cloud computing, big data analytics, augmented reality, 3D printing, simulation, horizontal and vertical integration, and cybersecurity. The focus on Digital technologies are anticipated to pave the way to a future in which smart factories, smart machines, and networked processes are carried out together to boost output, flexibility, and profitability.
