    Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is the apex industry body representing leading vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India. SIAM provides a window to the Indian automobile industry and aims to enhance exchanges and communication expand economic, trade and technical cooperation between the Indian automobile industry and its international counterparts. The Society works closely with all the concerned stake holders in the formulation of rules, regulations and polices related to the automobile industry. In order to achieve advancement of Inspection and Certification (I&C) of vehicles and increased safety on roads, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has incorporated an independent body Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment (SAFE).

    SIAM’s Styling & Design Group, has been promoting capacity building in the area of styling & design of vehicles and has been striving to develop capabilities in India. Indian market is also maturing at this point in time and customers are increasingly looking at style – shape, color, feel, etc. for their preferred automobiles and therefore the industry is also gearing up to give its best. This Group, amongst other objectives, seeks to build bridges between Design and Styling people in India and their global counterparts to share information of common interest and enhance mutual skills and capabilities through interactions.

    SIAM is organizing the “12th Looking Ahead Conclave – Automotive Industry Getting Future Ready” on 10th January 2018 in New Delhi. SIAM Looking Ahead Conclave is the crowning event of ‘Economic Research Group’ (ERG) of SIAM, which is a consortium of the head of business planning division of automobile OEMs in India. It attracts participation from top management of all major automobile companies. This forum is held at the beginning of the year, and it brings together thought leaders who share their perspectives on the outlook for automobile industry for the year. Hence, all automobile industry stakeholders (Automotive OEMs, Suppliers, Financiers, Dealers, Economists, Analysts, Government officials, etc.) keenly observe this event.

  • 4th SIAM Automotive Logistics Conclave

    SIAM is organizing 4th Automotive Logistics Conclave on 9th & 10th October 2017, as per the details given below: The conclave would be deliberating on a wide range of topics, including the impact of GST on Automotive Logistics, of interest to the Logistics Heads of Automobile Manufacturers, as well as to Logistics Service Providers, Logistics Facilitators and Automotive Logistics fraternity at large. The conclave would have eminent speakers from the Government, such as the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Shipping, and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Heads of the Logistics functions of Automobile Manufacturers (OEMs) and eminent speakers from abroad from OEMs, 3PLs and Logistics Operators would share their views and insights on various topics, and interact with the participants.
