he theme for SIAM 2006 Annual Convention is “India-An Automotive Hub: The Next Leap.” SIAM 2006 would be a forum to share the
possible opportunities and strategies that companies could explore in their endeavour to increase competitiveness, to be global players and to meet the environmental and safety challenges. A special session on leadership will conclude the Annual Convention.

Mr Sontosh Mohan Dev, Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises will be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural and Theme Session.Mr Murli Deora, Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has conveyed his in-principle acceptance to be the Guest of Honour at the special plenary session.

Mr Anand Mahindra, Member, Development Council for Automobile and Allied Industries and Vice Chairman & MD, Mahindra and Mahindra would present the key challenges and interventions to make India an Automotive Hub.
